Our Story

We didn't plan on being in ministry.
God had a better idea.

Billy and Rebecca Altman have given their lives to equipping, encouraging, and empowering marriages and families — and the story of how they got here is worth knowing.

"I have called you by name; you are mine." Isaiah 43:1
How It Began

A loss that became a calling.

In 2010, Billy's father passed away suddenly from a heart attack. In the grief that followed, something unexpected happened — God began to heal Billy's heart and stir in him a willingness to surrender fully to whatever God wanted to do with his life.

Through that loss, Billy began to see how much of his energy had been poured into business, success, and providing — while the relationships closest to him needed deeper attention. He began to understand more fully how much people need to be pointed toward the Lord.

"One day, Rebecca came to him and said, 'I need my husband back.' That moment became a turning point."

Billy went out and sought the Lord, praying words that changed the trajectory of everything: "Lord, here I am. Use me." In that season of surrender, he sensed God leading him — not into a traditional pastor role, but into something different: equipping people through coaching, discipleship, and walking alongside them in their relationships.

Billy and Rebecca sat down together to talk through what God might be calling them to, and there was confirmation in both of their hearts. They had already been leading a small group for young married couples and had seen firsthand the need for encouragement, support, and practical coaching. They had also seen through friends the pain and devastation of divorce.

2010

The year that started the journey toward full-time ministry

The Journey

Ten years of yes before the big yes.

2010 – 2014

Three-plus years of preparation.

From that prayer, the path forward wasn't immediate. Billy was still managing a farm — sometimes 60, 70, even 90 hours a week — and he and Rebecca began pursuing what they believed God was leading them toward: ministry. They expected to start something on their own. Instead, God opened a different door.

FamilyLife, one of the most established marriage and family ministries in the world, invited them to join staff as missionaries. But first, they had to raise 100% of their financial support before they could report. For more than three years — working long days on the farm while simultaneously building a ministry partnership base — they waited, trusted, and prepared. In 2014, they finally reported to Little Rock.

2014 – 2024

Ten years in the field.

Billy's official role at FamilyLife was donor development — building and maintaining relationships with the people who financially supported the ministry. But something else was growing quietly on the side. Couples began reaching out. Men asked to be mentored. Billy started doing video and photography for events. None of it was in his job description. It was just what God kept putting in front of him.

By the time ten years had passed, the doors had shifted. Speaking invitations were coming in. Coaching requests were multiplying. International opportunities for visual storytelling were opening up. Billy and Rebecca sat with multiple mentors and asked a direct question: should they step out and start their own ministry? Every one of them said yes.

"We saw this coming three years ago. We've been waiting for you to make this decision." — Billy's manager at FamilyLife

2024

A leap of faith.

Stepping out still required real faith. They would leave the structure of FamilyLife and still need to raise 100% of their support — not knowing whether their current ministry partners would follow. But they had one question to anchor them: in ten years with FamilyLife, how many times did the Lord not provide? The answer was none. So they stepped out.

Their ministry partners followed. Some increased what they gave. Others who had stopped giving came back. New partners joined for the first time. And Enspire Global was born — not as a replacement for what FamilyLife does, but as something different: personal, focused, close.

Enspire Global sits across the table from one. Billy and Rebecca still love FamilyLife — still do ministry alongside them — but they exist to fill the space in between: the gap between the event and the individual, between the broadcast and the conversation, between hearing truth and having someone walk it out with you.

The Altmans

Rebecca Altman

Rebecca has a gift for making people feel seen. Whether she's sitting across from a couple in a hard season, discipling a woman who's lost her footing, or simply being present with someone who needs to be heard — she brings the same thing every time: genuine love, a listening ear, and truth spoken with grace.

She holds a degree in psychology and has spent over a decade as a stay-at-home and homeschool mom — years that have shaped her into someone who understands the weight of everyday life and meets people right there in it. Through Enspire Global, Rebecca leads marriage coaching alongside Billy and personally walks with women who are weary, searching, or just need someone to remind them: you are loved, you are seen, and there is joy on the other side of this.

Rooted in Little Rock.
Reaching the world.

Billy and Rebecca have been married since 1997 and have four children, two daughters and two sons, who are deeply part of the story God is writing through their family.

Enspire Global is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and serves couples, families, churches, and ministry partners nationally and globally. They are not formally tied to a specific denomination, which allows them to serve freely across the church.

For Billy and Rebecca, family isn't separate from the calling. It is the calling.

Why "Enspire" — Not "Inspire"

Equip. Encourage. Empower.

The "E" in Enspire is intentional. These three words define how Billy and Rebecca approach every couple they coach, every event they lead, and every community they serve.

Equip

We give couples, families, men, and women practical tools, coaching, and resources they can actually use — in their marriage, their home, and their walk with the Lord.

Encourage

Sometimes what people need most is someone to show up with them. We're present in the hard seasons, the drifting seasons, and the growing seasons — with honesty, warmth, and hope.

Empower

We help people step into who God created them to be. Whether it's a husband leading his family, a couple rebuilding trust, or a woman finding her footing — we call people out and call them up.

Ministry Roots

Built on a decade of faithful service.

Before launching Enspire Global, Billy and Rebecca spent 10 years with FamilyLife, a ministry of Cru — one of the leading marriage and family ministries in the world. That foundation shapes everything they do today.
